I TENNIS CLUB MEETING The local tennis club held their : annual mooting at the courts on ; September Ist. There was a fair utj tendance of members. The accounts of the last playing season were pre- ! Rented and showed a satisfactory ! balance, the number of members on i the books being 27. After discussion it was unanimI ously decided to play tennis this year ' as no good purpose c uld be served I by htting the club fall through i Members l'elt the}- would be followj ing the proper course by encouragI ing such a good social and athletic j tjanie among the young people. The following olficers were re-elected : , President, Mr H. Hamilton : vico- ■ presidents, Messrs T. Muir, P. Grifj fen, I>. A. Moore, S. H.. Craw ford; I management committee, Mrs J. j Logan, Mrs Fox, Miss Crawford, ! Mies Jones, Messrs J, Henderson, H. | Eyre, W. 1 >awes, N. Fox and R. J. I Glasgow secretary. The subscrip- ■ tions wore lived at 10s for gents, os I for ladies and 2s 6d for beginners, \ girls or boys. It was resolved that the opening day bo held on Saturday, October 7;h, tit which all friends will ho cordially welcome. Play will commence at 2 p.m.
