TUAKAU.
| THE SCHOOL QUESTION. NEW DEVELOPMENT. At the meeting of the Auckland Education Board on Wednesday a deputation representing the householders of the Tuakau district waited on the Board in respect to the inadequate educational facilities in the d strict and asked for assistance towards meeting the same. After discusion, which was taken in committee, had ended, Mr G J. Garland proposed that assistance should be provided by way of assisting in the provision of further accommodation at the present school. Mr E C. Banks moved as an amendment that steps be taken to provide an infant school in the township. The amendment was carried, Mr Garland being the only dissentient. A committee, consisting of the chairman (Mr J. D. McKenzie) and the two members representing the ward (Messrs Auld and Bodt'ie) were deputed to go into the matter of a site and bring down a report concerning the educational facilities ai affecting the whole district
