ROAD BOARD ELECTIONS
Messrs W. T. Hall and J. J. Brimble were the only candidates nominated for the two vacancies on the Papakura Road Board and have accordingly been declared duly elected.
For the Karaka Road Board Mr J. Macpherson was re-elected without oppos tion for No. 1 Ward and Mr J. R. Bryant succeeds Mr J. P. Kidd, who retired, as member for No. 2 Ward.
Messrs G. F. Druco and Alex Muir were unopposed for re-election as members of the Manurewa Road Board.
Messrs A. D. Bell and W. T. Duder, the retiring members of the Wairoa Road Board, have been reelected, no other candidates having been nominated. In two instances there are to be contests for representation on the Whangamarino Road Board, the respective candidates being Messrs J. D. Keith and J. G. Brown for Waerenga sub-division and Messrs W. G. Mabey and J H Keith for the Warumarua sub-division. Polling takes place on Saturday next. Mr M. J. Dawson wa«. elected unopposed for the Rangiriri sub-division.
