Edna May, the famous 'Belle of New York," is immortalised in the tilmic dramatisation of that celebrated musical comedy in the Vitagraph Company's powerful drama "Salvation Joan. Considerable diplomacy and much argument were necessary before the one-time darling of the musical comedy stage could be induced to appear on the screen, but the idea of once more living her old part of the Salvation lassie decided her, and the result is said to be a big coup for the producers. At the Lyceum Pictures to-morrow (Wednesday' Edna May is seen in her favourite role —the role that made her famous—of the Salvation lassie whose ueutle inlluence and patient 1 coinage triumphs over vice and I wickedness.
