PUKEKOHE BOWLING CLUB
THE ANZA.C CUP.
Representatives of the Pukekohe Club met West End on Saturday at the latter club's gr9en in the second match of the Anzac Cup contest. The match resulted in a win for the "West End by 63 to 45. Prior to the play the visiting players were entertained by the West End Club, a harbour trip being made in Mr J. W. Swale's launch, followed by a complimentary luncheon. Details of the play were as follows, the Pukekohe names being given first:— Cup Games Coady, Lusher, Adams, Hewson, 15, v. Whittem, Coutts, Colthurst, Tonkin, 18 ; Perkins, Fitness, J. Roulston, Wright, 10, v. W. Ivil, P. Darby, Maher, Langsford, 60; Gribble, Barter, D. Roulston, Armstrong, 20, v. Newton, Norton, Rev Sraailes, Beecroft, 15
Inter-Club Match.—Guest Woollet, Penny, Blake 17, v. Woods, Ls Quesne, Clarke Pierce, 14; Baker, Tonge, Daysh, Keith 12 v Price, Court, Kirkham, Morley 18. Total: Pukekohe, 29 ; West End, 32.
First Year Piayers.— West End defeated the visitors by 31 to 20.
Matches recently played in the 3rd round of the " President' 3 Fours" resulted as follows:
E. Fausett, Moreland, Penny and Fitness 25 beat Butler, W. F. Jones, Guest and J. Roulston 15.
W. Adams, Pulman, Short and Armstrong 25 beat Blackwood, Webb, Barter and Bluke 14. S. Fitness, Bowden, Woollett and Keith 15 lost to J. Blake, Potter, O'Loughlen and Coady 28 W. Adams, jr , Crawford, Daysh and Gribble 33 beat Webster, Hubbard, Tonge and M. Wright 20.
