DRURY
A large gathering of the residents of the district met in the Drury Hall last Wednesday evening for the purpose of bidding 'Jod Speed to Privates J. G. Walker and H. Smith, who were home on iinal leave before going to the battlefields of Europe. The function was a highly successful one, and was ably presided over by Mr Joseph Flanagan. The vocal itemß and musical were heartily applauded, and the patriotic speeches, delivered by the chairman and Messrß Bycroft and Glasson, were listened to with appreciation and interest. The entering was in the capable hands of Messrs J. and J. and was of the best quality. The dance waß under the control of Mr W. Tooman, secretary to the committee, and the music was dispensed by Messrs Morgan and Cossey. Messrs Quinn and Brooks were the unseen workers who helped to make the gathering so successful.
