CLEVEDON.
The death occurred on Monday of last week at her residence in Otabuhu of Mrs Walker, the wife of Mr Samuel Walker. The deceased, who waß 92 years of age, lived with her husband in the Clevedon district for many years and was highly respected. The funeral took place last Thursday at the Clevedon Church of England Cemetery, the Kev. Wilson officiating.
It was reported tit the meeting of the Koad Board last Thursday that Burgoyne's and Brown's quarries had both been considerably damaged by the recent Hoods and that at Brown's quarry the heavy flood had washed truit trees and other rubbish into the quarry. This news prompted the remark by one member that "the Board had better own an orchard instead ot a quarry."
