PUKEKOHE.

What was once a rough corner of about two acres of docks in Pukekohe is now a splendid crop of maize. This is to be seen on land adjoining the dairy factory, the property of the N.Z. Dairy Association. When the docks were making headway they were ploughed in, the land was well sprayed and sown with maize. Being rather thickly sown, the result is a fine crop of maize with a total disappearance of docks. Apart from feeding qualities, the appearance of maize adds to the general surroundings of any place, and the crop referred to is a credit to the Association.
