PUKEKOHE EAST.
LADi' LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.
A meeting of the Fukekobe East branch of the Lady Liverpool League was held on January 11th, at the residence of the president, Mrs Robinson, but there was only a poor attendance of members.
The usual collection was taken up. A letter was read from Miss B. Spedding, secretary of the Auckland centre, acknowledging the receipt of a parcel containing the following goods, viz.: 5 pairs flannel underpants, 5 pairs felt slippers, 3 pairs socks, 38 handkerchiefs, 0 pairs pyjamas and some children's garments.—The thanks of the League are due to the school children for making the handkerchiefs. After afternoon tea was served, some musical items by Mrs Sager and Miss N. Robinson (piano) and Miss E. Robinson (vocal) were much enjoyed by the ladies present. A very pleasant afternoon was spent, and the members accepted Mrs William Robinson's invitation to meet at her home on February Bth.
