MANUREWA PUBLIC HALL. The annual meeting of the Manurewa Public Hall Association was held on Saturday last, when there were present: Messrs F. E. White (chairman), T. J. Corin, G. F. Druce, C. The library report was also read, and showed that the subscribers to the library had increased, the membership having doubled, which in no small measure was due to the energies displayed by the hon. secretary and librarian, Mrs Mellors, to whom a hearty vote of thanks was passed. The following trustees were then appointed: Messrs F. E. White, T. J. Corin, H. V. Burton, C. Hawthorne, F. Brinsmead, G. F. Druce and C H. Lupton. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring chairman for his services duriDg the year, and Mr T. J. Corin was appointed as his successor. Messrs T. W. Bell and F. Brinsmead were respectively appointed secretary and treasurer, the firstnamed being also appointed caretaker. Accounts amounting to £2O 4s 9d were passed for- payment. A meeting of residents interested in Patriotic and the Red Cross Fund work will be held in the Public Hall oniThursday next, at 2 o'clock, to arrange a Fete. It is hoped there will be a large attendance.
