PAPAKURA.

(See also Page 1.) At the opening night of the new Picture Palace last Saturday there was a crowded house, the audience including Mr B. M. Gillespie (tbe chairman) and other members of the Town Board. All thoroughly enjoyed the number of pictures screened and the financial result was very satisfactory, all of which goes to swell the Auckland Children's Hospital Fund, Messrs Richardson Bros, the proprietors, kindly showing the pictures for that special object. Another capital programme will be presented next Saturday, as advertised in another column, and these entertainments are to be repeated every Saturday with a varied and attractive selection. The public are asked to attend early so that good seating accommodation may be secured.
