THE YOKEL SCORED.
Some young "sparks" were returning from Ouffley on the morning of the great air raid on England, when they spied a countryman poming along attired in a smock. Picking up a small piece of stick, one of them said : "Now for a bit of fun." "Say," said lie to the yokel, "here's an interesting souvenir from the Zepp worth keeping. Only a shilling." " 'Ow wun'erful," said the yokel, ex» anvining the stick. "An' you say it cum from that 'ep Zepp?" " Exactly." "Wun'erful! wune'rful! an' I didna 'no' as 'ow 'e 'ad any children." "Who had any children"? replied the joker, with ji wink, "the Zepp?" "Noa," was the quiet reply, "Annernius!"
