A REVERIE.
When my day trembles into night Shall I be left alone to keep 7ho flickers of my fires alight Until my weary sensts sleep?
Shall I like yonder tree be left A wasted form still waters by, My strength and glory all bereft, Torn down by floods and there to die !-
If one alone remembers mo Who shelter 'neath my arbour sought. My passing sleep shall tranquil be, Knowing a friend had not forgot. J. R. S.
