Seedy Individual (to dog dealer): "1 want to buy a> dog about this high and this long. It's a kind of greyhound, but it ain't a greyhound, because it's fitter round the waist, and it's tail's thicker, and its nose is shorter and kind of turned up like a bull-dog's, hut, of course, it ain't a bulldog, but more like a hound, though longer and lower, with a rougher coat and bandior logs. Do you keep such dogs?" "No," said the truthful dealer, "we drown 'em!"
