The gifts consists of 15 packages of mixed confectionery. Trooper John Walker, who enlisted from this district and is in camp with the 22nd Reinforcements, is being treated for appendicitis. Diptheria is still prevalent in the district, several children of tender years beiDg sufferers from the disease.
