DRURY
VALEDICTORY. Despite the inclemency of the weather on Thursday night of last week a large company assembled in the Drury Hall to b d Gol speed to Private A If. who is about to proceed to the front. The function was presided over by Mr J. Flanagan. The artistes who contributed to the musical part of the programme were Misses McNaughton, Beveridge, Winstaniey and Dixon.. The vocalist of the evening was Miss Ward and her contributions were well rendered and applauded. The speech-makers had their innings at the supper and all those who spoke were listened to attentively. The dancing was indulged in by the young people to an early hour in the morning. The catering for the supper was excellent and retlictsgre it credit on the firm of Messrs J. and J. Rngg. The Messrs Cossey supplied the dance music and Mr Tooman acted as M.C. Disappointment was expressed at the absence of Frivace E. Wall, who was detained at Featherston through illness and who would hive been a participant in the valedictory had he been well and lit.
