Since the last ordinary meeting of the Waikatoßiver Board tlie secretary, Mr R. Carter, went into the Board's financial position A very satisfactory state of affairs was disclosed. As the result of summonses issued by the Waikato River Board for arrears of rates £SB odd has been paid into the office of the Board and to the Court. It is anticipated that approximately £ - JOO will accrue by way of the Board's action.
