SPRING FLOWER SHOW.

Concluding Proceedings.

The closing day (Friday last) of the Spring Mower Show id Pukekobe again drew large attendances, especially in the evening when proceedings went with a great swing. The stage programme as submitted was again of a highly attractive and effective order, the tableaux representative of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter being decidedly picturesque, appropriats songs in each instance being rendered by Mrs Kerne, of Pukekohe East. The characters were poitrtyed by Miss Rodgers (Sprirg), Mrs Ungor (Summer), Mi?s Galloway (Autumn) and Miss E. Thompson (Winter), all being daintily dressed in costumes in keeping wi'h their rale.

A lullaby song was ch ; r bingly rendered by the Misses "Bertie" and Blossjm Perkirs, Maisie Feek, Irene Stuart, Eileen Adams, Kit* West, Doreen Blake and Eva Clews, whilst considerable merriment was produced by a plantation ditty given by the Mistes V. Kimber, M. BUk", N. Perkins, L. Perkins, C. Levers, L. Laundy, G. Clews and A. Jenkins, attired in "nigger" costumes. The Eastern song scene, which was so much appreciated on the previous evening, was again rendered, and Mr Ned Costeilo contributed a humorous recitation. As the organiser and designer of the stage productions, Mrs Nixon displayed great initiative powers and is to be congratulated on the succe33 attained. At the close of the proceedings the Hiral exhibits and the unsold contents of the produce stalls were kindly auctioned by Mr J. T. Stembridge and met with a ready sale. Mr fc\ Allan, as president of the Flower Show, worked untirngly in supervising all the arrangements therewith, and his efforts were appreciated by the Committee and public alike.
