FAI'AKURA TOWN BOARD. MONTHLY MEEIING. The adjourned monthly meeting of the above authority was held on Monday, the members preient being Messrs D. Stewart, chairman, 0. W. Jones, T. D. Campbell, J. Bates, A. Wall's and W. Crawford, together with the clerk, Mr B. Geissler. A Hanger's Powers. Advice waa retrieved from tie Municipal Association, in reply a letter from the Board, that any person detaining a cow driven by the ranger waa liable to prosecution, as the ranger had the powers of a constable.—lt was resolved that the Board should take action in respect to such breaches of the law.

Boundary Koad. The Franklin County Council forwarded a rough draft of the agreement entered into between the Council and the Board in connection with the upkeep of boundary road*. It was agreed that members should attach their signatures to the deed when ready and that steps should be taken with a view of securing a similar agreement respecting boundary roads with the Manukau County Council. It was also farther decided to draw the attention of the Council to water running from off properties in the Franklin County on to Mr Wo. Call is' property on Ran fur ly road,* and to the condition of Dominion and Albert roads, with a request that the County Engineer should inspect the same. Miscellaneous. > <- A complaint as to toe, "condition of a drain at the trontajAof bia property was received fron*|Mr T. W. Phillips.—it was resolved to inspect the dram before taking action. It was agreed th»t Mr T. Johns should be notified to clear the creek and the frontage to bis property on Settlement road. Instructions *,. iv given the clerk to order metal and scoria for repair work, etc.
