Mr J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lurtio Streets, Auckland, report sales as follows : Last week the market was exceptionally heavy and all lines wiere cleared at satisfactory rates. The poultry market is very tirm and for good conditioned birds, also for white Leghorn pullets, high prices have been obtained. Though a largo number of birds havo come forward prices are now firmer than last report. We do not expect prices to lower for some time for any good birds. Pigs are in strong demaud. Tho grain market is limine:, also potatoes, butter and egys are a. shade lower. Wo quote :
