WHANGARATA.
WHANGAKATA PATRIOTIC LEAGUE. The month's work of the above League was recorded at the farewell social to Messrs 'Jrimsbaw and Warner, on the evening ot Friday, 16th June. During the proceedings those members present held a meeting and decided to send the parcel to Mra Parkea for enclosure to W Chaplain McDonald; and the parcel was forwarded on June 29th. It contained twelve of each of following, viz.,- shirts, pyjamas, handkerchiefs, towels, soap and seven pair* of sox. Miss Beamish donated the handkerchiefs, ard Miss Brewster and Master S. Rapson the soap.' The following ladies made the pyjpmas:—Mrs Goulter, two; Mer- , dames Cruickahank, Fraser, T. Smeed, W. Sraeed, Marx, D. Fulton. Hayward, Rideout, Rapson and Miss Beamish, one each. Shitta were made by:—Mrs Brewster, three; Mesdames Bates and Donovan, two each; Mesdames D. Fulton, J. Fulton, Cooney, Fraser and Kapson, one each. Thoss who knitted the sox were: Hesdamea Coad, Ewing and Campbell two pairs; Miss Hyde, one pair
