PUKEKOHE EAST.

The annual meeting cf the Fukekohe Eaßt branch of the Farmers' Union was held in the library on Saturday, 13th inst, and only a fair attendance resulted, Mr Alf White being voted to the chair. Ihe secretary, Mr J Glennie, submitted the balance sheet for the year, which was duly audited by Mr Wm Hobinson and found to be correct, showing a substantial balance in hand. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the chairman, Mr T Hamilton, and the secretary for their services during the past year, the latter being voted an honorarium of one guinea. The following officers were appointed for the coming year:—President, Mr T Hamilton; vice-presidents, Mesrss J looman and Alf White; hon secretary and treasurer, Mr J Glenie; auditor, Mr Willipm Hobinaon; committee, Messrs Alt White, J Toomao, W Keyoold*, T Hamilton and J Glenie
