PATUMAHOE
Mr G. O'Hara has disposed of liis farm, consisting of 204 acres and situated on the Drury-Waiuku road, to Mr W. Woodman, of Feilding. The selling price is a considerable advance on the price paid by Mr O'Hara some five years ago. The purchaser also takes over tlio stock and plant at valuation. Messrs Reid Bros, have leased their farm of 200 acres, situated on the Patumahoe-Drury road, to Mr Nicholson, of Howick. Mr W. Eeid has enlisted for the front and is now in training with the reinforcements at Trentham. Mr G. O'Hara inteuds enlisting shortly. The new building in course ol construction for Messrs P. Henry & Son is fast nearing completion. The Waiau-Patumahoe straight road is making good progress and will bring several outlying farms into closer touch with the township.. A hockey club is being formed instead of a football club this season and indications of gettiug a good team together are very promising. That tho dairying season is now drawing to a close is indicated by the local creamery only running on alternate days.
