MERCER.
MINISTER OF MARINE'S VISIT DETAILS OF ARRANGEMENTS For the purpose of inspecting the Waikato River from Huatly to the Waikato Heads, and also its tributaries, the Minister for Marine (ihe Hon. R. McNab) will, by arrangement with the Waikato River Board, proceed by launch from Huntly at 1 p.m next Monday to Mercer, In the evening the Minister will be the guest at a public banquet t>) be held at Mr Hoare's boai'.linghouse, Mercer, and on Tuesday morning the trip to the Waikato Heads will be undertaken.
On Tuesday evening Mr McNab will speak at a recruiting meeting to ho held at Mercer, and as he is a powerful speaker and a recognised authority on military matters his discourse will be well worth hearing. Subsequent to the meeting the Minister will depart by the night express for Wellington.
