The desirability of the provision in l'ukekobe of a subway under the rail say to onnect Manuksu road with the iiliowground road, oo the opposite Eide of the .line, was mentioned by Mr ,) Wylie at last night's nreting ol the Franklin A and F Society'B Executive, his contention being that fcuch a route would enable stock proceeding tj the showground to be taken direct there after being unloaded in the station with jut the necessity of being onveyed through the town. He also pointed out that lor ordinary stock driving purposes the sub-' way would avoid cattle proceeding by road to and from the salcyards passing over the railway bridge to the present danger ot fhe public, the matter is to b2 made the BUb-j-et of a reprcietitation to the Kailway Department Patterns of all the designs of fashions, etc, appearing in our supplement, week by week, can bo obtained by sending stamps, value 7d, for every pattern required coat, skirl, blouse, oue-pieco gown, etc) to Miss Ida Meller, caro of the Editor.
