MANUREWA.

The members of the Auckland Automobile Association Executive had brought before them on Tuesday evening the question of the overhead railway bridge at Manurewa being at right angles 10 the road. The matter was introduced by a request that the members ut the executive should go and view the proposed work. This waß made by Mr Enos Peßler. Mr M Wynyard said from his knowledge of the place he thought the Kail way Department was doing the right thing. Their Association should encourage as much as they could the substitution of overhead bridges lor dangerous level crossings. The same style ot bridge was erected at other places. Mr (J Heuning objected to putting a bend in what previously had been a straight road. Mr Wynyard said II the bridge was put at an angle there would be a drop uf 20 teet at the other end.
