FOREMAN'S REPORT The foreman, Mr J Dixon, reported as follows: Turanga riding—Nothing further has been done to tbe concrete culvert at Maraitai, owing to the scarcity of labour, but cow that tbe harvest is over and tbe holidays done 1 will be able to procure a couple of practical men and can Mart the job next Monday. Papakura lining—The reforming and alteration to main street at Manurewa is just about completed with the exception of clearing outfall drains, laying kerbstones, putting in cesspits and trimming footpaths. There is a culvert with an outfall drain running parallel to the Station rojd in a gully as a natural outlet. Half this distance has been piped, but has been poorly laid, i find it necessary to relift, deepen and relay tfcem to get the proper drainage from the road. Cr Muir and myself called on Mr W Walters, Takamni, re alteration to tbe South road near Glenora Park. The latter pointed out the starting point and angles and the course tbe road is to take, and as soon as tbe surveying is completed I will be able to remove the fencing and go on with the work.
