FIRE AT OTAU.

Cottage Destroyed.

A f■ ur-roomed cottage, owned by Miss Agnes Cameron-Taylor, was destroyed by fire at Otau on Friday last, at about rridnight. The tire bad a good hold when it was first discovered, and the occupants, Mrs Hawthorn and daughter, Miss Murtagb and Mr G Murtagt?, had narrow escapes. There was no possibility of saving the old building or its contents, which were uninsured. The origin cf the fire is unknown. Tbc cottage was situated on Cameron Hill, which is about ten miles from Clevedon.
