CLEVEDON.
Mr L Walker, wr,o has been Presbyterian Missionary at Clevedon lor about two years past, was presented with a Bible dictionary on the eve of his departure tor Duuedin last week by the Clevedon bible Class. The ladies of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union met in the vestry to have afterroli tea and to present Mrs Walker with a travelling rug. The presentation was made on behalf of the Union by Mrs Jchnttin, vicepreseiit. Ihc latest local lad to volunteer for the Expeditionary Forces is Sydney Smith, who left for camp on 'i'uc Jay,
Cr A Bell iiaa authorised, on behalt of the Manukau County Council, another week's e.\tra work on McKenzic's road at Otau.
