PAPARIMU.

A Farmer's Suicide. Constable Waugh received information at Papakura this morning that a case of suicide bad occurred at Paparimu. The deceased is a Mr Kobert Alexander Walker, who recently pur chased a farm in tbe district, and although he himself had not entered into occupation his wife, Bon and daughter were living there. He arrived in Papakura from Auckland yesterday and in the evening drove out to Paparimu. This morning he arose about six o'clock and about an hour later he entered the kitchen, saying: "I have done it. That's the erd of the penny section." At the same time he displayed a packet, which was subsequently tound to have contained strychnine, and of which he had apparently taken a considerable quantity. Death took place half-sr.-hour later. The deceased was 58 years of age. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
