The following interesting final statement of the receipts and txpenditure in connection with the candidature of the Queen ot the South has been drawn up by the hon. treasurer, Mr F Lurford. As will be seen, th 3 total expenses incurred in raising the £55,489 6a 5d were no more than £72 16s 8d including organising, advertising, printing, stationery, and geuert' item 9. This works out at the marvellously-low figure of 2s Sd per each £IOO raised. RECEIPTS
