QUEEN CARNIVAL.
WAIUKU QUEEN WINS The Loner Waikato Queen Carnival voting closed at midnight tin Saturday, the Waiukn Queen (Mrs Claud Motion) scoring an easy victory over the representatives of Pukekohe and Tuakau. Tbe sums collected and equivalent number of votes were as follows: Queen £. s. d. Votes. Waiuku 6333 0 0 506,680 -• Pukekohe 2000 10 11 160,043 Tu.kau 566 14 6 45,338 In each instance other amounts have yet to come forward, but being too late for tbe lo:al Queen Competition they will go to swell the total of the Queen of tbe South's Fund. ,<-j
