Wednesday's Coronation Ceremony.

Ih3 crowning of the Waiuku Queen is ta be carried out on Wed- "- nesday in V ukekohe on en claborhte BC»ld and the day is to be observed ss a public holiday in Pukekohe and surrounding districts. A procsssion will assemble in the Parade Ground in Queen Street at noon and an imposing feature of the cortege will be trie Queen seated in a chariot drawn by eight horse a and accompanied by two Maids of Honour, The Queens of PukekohH and Tuakau. Included in thj parade will also be decorated venicks and motor cars. The main strettj will be traversed en route to the new Showground* where the afternoon's Coronation ceremony will be performed, and participants in thi procession are , requested to secure admission tickets beforehand so that no delay will be caused in passing through the entrance nates. Immediately aft r the arrival on tie ground the Queen will be crowned, and the ceremony will be followed by the Trooping of the Flags of the Allied Nations by the Public School children, and the aale by auction of seats for the evening proceedings at the Premier Hall. Numeros side shows will provide a variety of amusements, and a programme of athletic events will include the concluding rounds of the tug-of-war,tae earlier stages of which were pulled at ths Evening Sports last Friday. In the evening the Coronation ceremony will oe repeated at the Premier Hall on a scale of no little magnificence, whilst a miniature fair will also be conducted in King street.

Arrangements have been made by the Railway Department by which a passenger carriage will be attached to the goods train leaving Pukekohs at 12 (midnight) stopping at both luakau a3d Pokeno.
