BOMBAY.
Among tbe troops who went into camp last wek was Mr H. Richards and he was followed on Tuesday last by Mrsrsi A. Cornthwaite, A. Smith, R. Pciry and H. Winsor. A party of five telegraph linesmen, who have been working constantly in tbe distriu, have also enlisted and were farewelled with the others it a smoke concert given last week. It is computed that at least forty men have row volunteered from < the Bombay and Paparata districts. The supply at the Bombay creamery is a record for the district, the aame being due to the abundance of grass and the favourable season. Mr J. B. Carter has recently purchased a new seven-seater 40 h.p. Hudson car, which will be at the services of tha residents of tbe diatrict. Mr Carter, who is to be commended for bis proereisiveness, • has already bad several charter* for journeys to Auckland, etc.
