HUNUA.
The recent heavy rain has bad the effect of bringing down a con siderable quantity of debris in several places on the Hunua Gorge road, thereby stopping all wheel traffic for three or four days. The inconvenience was emphasised on Friday, as that is the day for delivery from Papakura of about 300 loaveß of bread. HowEver, Mr Joe McCrac, whj has charge of the road under the Council, was soon on to business with a tine lot of workmen and traffic was resumed on Monday. Mr Bates has decided to keep his mill going for another summer, having enough timber in sight for that period. Mr Robt. Gillespie, who is at the front, is by latest advice well and eager. Lands:ekers are turning their attention to the Hunua district, where land is obtainable at prices that would be much higher in almost any other district. A wedding will shortly take place in the district of the daughter of one of the most respected farmers in the place, and the son of a well known auctioneer in Pukekoh .
