BUCKLAND.
LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.
The dutrict is being canvassed by different ladies each month for a donation of either sox or money from each house. Money collected is spent in buying wool for the League to distribute amongst those who are willing to knit The follow* ng aiticlea have been knitted by the different ladies and tave been sent to the Mayoress to Auckland, for distribution amongst the New Zealand soldiers at the front:—Mrs Scott, 6 pairs sox; Mrs McAnally, 4 pairs; Mrs McKean, Mrs Walker, senr., 3 pairs each; Mrs Driver, Mrs Strickett, 2 pairs each; Mra Driver, Mrs Harris, Mrs I. Walker, Mrs Kelson and Mrs Avery, one pair each. Helmets by the follow* ing: —Mrs Hewitt, senr., 8, Miss G. Neal 3, Miss 1. Wily 2, Miss Jesser 1, Miss W. Wily 1 helmet and one pair bed socks. At the last meeting held in the hall on Thursday afternoon last, fifteen ladies were present, Mr H. D. Wily, president, being in (be chair. A m tion of sympathy was carried with Mis McAnally and Mr J. Young in their Had losj.
