At the service held in St. Paul's Church on Surd iy last, the Kev. b\ B. Dobson, in (he ennrse of hia sermon, spike letlingly of Private? E Hartland and G. Uundry. who were recently killed in action. Special hymns nni psalms were sung by the choir and the Dead March in Saul was played by the organist.
A meeting of the Ladies' Patriotic League was Held in the Hall on Thursday last ami waß well attended considering the inclement weather. Jt was decided that several ladies shuul'l canvass certain parts of the district the iirst week in each month for funds to buy wool ti knit socks, etc., for the "boys at the front." A vote of sympathy was pa?seil lo the parents of Privates E. HarlUnd and C. Cundry. The Parliamentary Union will resume its session tomorrow (Wed nuda)') eveilng when a LauJ Bill io tu be introduced.
