LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.
At a meeting of the Pukekohe branch of the Lady Liverpool League held on Monday of last week there were present:—Misses Webster and Usher, Mesdames Meßae, Hogan, O'Connor and Webb.
Letters of thanks wore read from the secretary of the Auckland Patriotic League for parcels of comforts for the soldiers.
The chairwoman reported that many applications had been received from lady workers for more wool, and same had been supplied. A child's knitted coat was received from Mrs Preston, of Tuketuke, as a gift for the Belgian Relief Fund, and bad been forwarded to the Acting Belgian Consul. A letter was received from Lady Liverpool asking if the committee were willing to keep together with a view to supplying extras such as sox, mittens, Balaclavas, etc., for the men when they are leaving these shore 3, especially sox.—lt was decided to write to Lady Liverpool that the committee are willing to keep together as long as comforts for the soldiers wero reijuiied and funds were available.
Donations reported to fund were heavy-weight cholera belts: Mrs Hewlett Miss Graham 1. Pair" surgical sleever, Mrs Eames.
Workers of heavy-weight belts: Mrs Crum '2, Miss Usher 1, Mrs Cowporthwuite 1, MrsFitnoss 2, Up* Lrost 1, Mrs Boulcott 1. Lightweight cholera belts: Miss Hamlin 1, Miss Webster 2 Wristlots: Mrs E. Stevenson 1' pairs, Mrs I'apesch 1 pair.
