OTAUA SPORTS.
The programme for the Otaua annual sports is now publi-hrd aid shows an attractive list of events. Several iii proverr.cn'9 have teen made in regard to evmts for ccmpetition, and ia others romi of the prizes have b:en increased in value. The sports are a little latar than last year, which should gain an increased number cf patrons. For the Utsua Cup, 150 yards event, the iirst prize is £3, and there is a £2 first prize in the 440 yards event. The hurdle race has also a first of £2 The second and third prizes are mostly £1 ai.d 10s respectively. A bicycle race, stokman's event, tue-ot-war, etc., are induced and should prove of great interest. The sports, ■as usual, will take place in Mr J. D. Denize's paddock. Athletes ar3 reminded to look up the programme, as nominations for some of the event] close on February 6th. Mr R. S. Morrison is secretary.
