MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
[Before Mr F. V. Frazer, S.M.] There was a very light list of civil cases to come before Mr F. V. Frazer, S.M., at the Courthouse en Friday, and none in the criminal section. Two cases were struck out owing to the non-appearance of the parties. An order was obtained on a judgment summons in tbe case of A. M. Brydon v. G. Honey for £2l 4s, to be paid forthwith in default 21 days' imprisonment; warrant suspended for seven days. Mr Mason appeared for plaintiff. In a case in which D. A. Gray sued Jess Fhvell for debt, the Magistrate said he could not make an order on the evidence put forward. Mr Mason, for plaintiff, sought to prove that tbe debtor bad interest in land up nortb, and was also farming in a small way near Waiuku. The defendant contended that bis interest in northern lands was only small and was through his wife, also that the farm* near Waiuku and the cows belonged to his wife acd son.
Several applications for old sge pensions were dealt with and granted, the Registrar, Mr Boyes, being in attendance.
