NEW YEAR'S NIGHT. Friday, being a public holiday, the Lyceum management have made arrangements for a bpecial programme for the nigh*, ihe star feature is an extra good one, entitled "King of the Air"; the picture is 6000 feet in length and beautifully coloured throughout and contains some of the most sensational aeroplane flights ever recorded by the cinematograph. The comic portion of the programme is supplied by John Bunny and Floia Finch in "John Cobin's Sweetheart." For Saturday right "Monsieur Lccoq, or the Tragedy at Pepperbox Inn," takes pride of place; featuring the famouj detective in the title role. "Max'a Melodrama," with Max Linder in the lead, fills the comic portion. Max Linder, who is a great public favourite and is connected with Pathe Frere's pictures, was recently reported to have been shot at the battle of Mons, which report has since been contradicted. Max is still serving his country in the forefront of the French army.
