TENNIS.
The annual tennis match between the Papakura Tennis Club and the Pakekohe Club was played at Pukekohe on Saturday last. A very close finish resulted, each side winniog five matches; but Pukekohe gained a victory by the narrow margin of two games. The detailed results are as follows, Pukekahe players being mentioned first Men's doubles: Hopkins and Marsack v. Bennett and Tattoo, 6—3, 6—3; Corbett and Bockett v. Wood and Wilson, 6—3, 2—6, 6—3; Johns and Roulston, v. Bull and Mclnnes, 6—3, 6-4. Ladies' doubles: Mrs Bayly and Miss Bilkey v. Misß Walker and Mrs Wilson, 5—6, 4—6; Mrs Motion and MiBS Zinzan v. Misses Cooper and E. Bull, 3—6, I—6; Miss Coßter and Mrs Zinzan v. Misses A. Bull and Cave, 2—6, 4-6.
Combined doubles: Mrs Bayly and Hopkins v. Miss Walker and Bennett, 2—6, 2—6; Miss Bilkey and Marsack v. Mrs Wilson and Tatton, 6—4, 6-3; Mrs Motion and Cargill v. Miss Cooper and Wood, 2—6, 5—6; Miss Coster and Johns v. Miss A. Bull and tfull, 6—4, 1-1; Mrs Zinzan and Roulston v. Mies Cave and Mclnnes, 6—o, 6-1.
