DRURY.
PRESBYfERIAN BIBLE CLASSES A social in connection with "the Young Women's and Young Men's Bible classes was held in tha Drurv, Public hall on Tuesday. 23rd inst. and wes a great success. In the absence of Uev. D. Madill the evening's entertainment was in the hands ol Mr J v Brook?, leader of the Young' Men's Bible class. During the evening a 1010 was rendered by Miss G. McNaugbton, a duet by Miss D. McNaughton and Mr W. Dixon, ancfa solo by Mr W. Dixon. Threa hymns were rendered by the united Bible classes. Mr J. Fyfo and Mr Simpson gave recitations. Another very pleasing item was the presentation to Mrs A. Clark (nee Miss Mrja Flanagan), of a beautiful inscribed silver cake dish by the members of the Young Women's Bible class, of which Mrs Clark had been a member since its inauguration. The presentation was made by Mrs McMurtrie, leader of the Young Women's class, who paid a very warm tribute to Mrs Clark, and spoke of the high esteem in which she was held bv each member of the class.
Miss D. McNaughton was also the recipient of a gift from the members of the Young Men's Bible class, the presentation being mada by Mr J. Brooks, class leader, who spoke ot the enthusiastic interest which Miss McNaughton bad taken in the class and-the great respect which she has won from each class member. The present to Miss McNaughton, who is about to marry and leave the district, was a beautiful set of carvers.
Various games were indulged in in a very spirited manner during the evening. Refreshments were also liberally provided. The proceedings broke up about midnight with the singing of "God Ba With You Till We Meet Again."
