kohe Branch'
The annual meeting of the Pukekohe branch of the Reform League was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening last, Mr J. Schlaepter in the chair. The annual report described the work that had been done by the branch during the year. Owing to conflicting functions the branch had been unable tu arrange a suitable date for the garden parly which was to have been held early in the year. The ladies' branch had not yet been formed, owing to indisposition. Tne secretary (Mr F. E. Simpson) read the balance sheet, which showed a credit of £l2 (is 4d. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr J. Schlaepfer; vicepresidents, Messrs C. Shipherd and J. Bilkey; executive committee, Messrs J. G. Rutherford, J. Potter, E. G. Phillipps, D. K. Hamilton, C. K. Lawrie, J. W. Johns, I. Motion, J. H. Keith, A. B. Barter, R. Glasgow, R. Schlaepfer, J. Baxter, A. P. Daysh; secretary and treasurer, Mr F. E. Simpson. Messrs Schlaepfer and Lawrie were appointed to represent this branch at the Auckland provincial conference, and Mr J. Schlaepfer was elected as representative to the Dominion conference to be held in Wellington. It was decided to write to Mr Massey asking him to address a meeting at Pukekoha in the near future. Votes of thanks to the president, secretary and the other officers were carried by acclamation.
