THE WINTER SHOW.

Some of Our Prize-winners. Amongst the biggest prize-takers at the Wnikato Winter Show, held in Hamilton this week, were Messrs Dunn and Sons, in poultry. Mr Ballard scored in garden classes; Mr J. J. McKinney, sunflower; Mrs J. Wylie, jams and fruit; Mrs Baxter ami Mrs Crump for needlework. The children of Paiumahoe and Pukekohe did well. In one of the classes for penmanship M. Rae, of Patuinahoe, was awarded a first prize and A. Bartrom, of Pukekohe, second. In this class there were 84 entries. For collection of grasses, named, M. Wright, of Patutnaboe, received fust prize; and G. Graham, Pukekohe, first in their respective classes. For collection of weeds, named, G. Graham, Pukekohe, -again came first; and B. Robinson, Patumahoe, second in another class for weeds.

W. Graham, Patumahoe, won a first prize wiih a collection of injurious insects. With a note-book of natural history (botany), E. Kidd, Patumahoe, was placed first. G. Graham, of the Pukekohe District High School, gained second place for collection of drawings; second for drawing native trees and shrubs; and second for drawings from originals.
