TUAKAU.
RAILWAY LEASE TO BE SOLD. On Monday, 15th inst., the vacant section between the post office and the railway station will be offered to the public by Messrs R. C, Carr and Son. The section is divided into three lots and the lease will be for 2! years with the right of renewal for a further term of 21 years. Full particulars are advertised. WEDDING. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church on Wednesday, the contracting parties being Mr Alexander Gamble, of Auckland, and Miss Ivy Maud Moliard, second daughter of Mr and Mrs F. J. Moliard, of Tuakau. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Olphert, of Te Awamutu. The bride looked charming in a bandscme dress of silk Bengaliue with fantail train. Miss Moliard, in wedgwood blue silk, was bridesmaid, and Mr A. Clark, of Auckland, bestma*. An excellent wedding breakfast was provided at Prescott's. Mr and Mrs Gamble left for Auckland by the 6.40 train. OVERHEAD BRIDGE.
Petitions are in circulation requesting that the much-desired overhead bridge be constructed at a point to the south of the present goods shed, near the railway stock yards. I understand that the Onewhero and Pukekawa Farmers' Union, and many settlers from over the river, are interesting themselves in the project. If the proposed bridge is situated as suggested it will obviate the necessity of driving stock along George street as at present. The petition is being largely signed. **
