SALE OF WORK. A Sale of Woik in aid ot the new church building fund at Waipipi waa opened by Lady Makgill on Thursday afternoon iu the Pariah Hall, kindly lent for the occasion. There was an excellent assortment of plain and fancy goods tastefully arranged, also a produce, lolly, buttonholes and toy stall, each well stocked. Mesdamee Jamej Harvey, H. Harvey. W. J. Wright, Irvine, Greenhead, Barnaby, Bregmen and Moffitt, and Misses Wright, Furniss and H. Watfon assisted at the various stalls and worked hard. Mrs C.' A. Vaughan, assisted by Misses Sedgwick (2), Mm Gribble and Misses Currie and Saunderson, locked after the tea room and variuus departments. Misses Grimmer attended to the flower stall. The Rev. C. A. Vaughan ably assisted in many ways to make ihe affair a success, also Messrs Wright, Harvey (2), oribble and Ridgley.

A very satisfactory amount for the day was realised despite the inclement weather. The sale will continue Friday and Saturday. SITE FOR BUTTER FACTORY.

It is rumoured on wbat your correspondent considers to be good authority that the site of the new butter factory has been fixed on Mr C, Hosking's property, near where the first sod or the railway was turned.
