ANOTHER LAND SALE. On Saturday, June 6th, Messrs Buckland and Sons, instructed by Mr C. B, Herrold, land agent, will offer on behalf of Mr J. B. Taylor, a house of 7 rooms standing in 3 acres of land. THE TOWN BOARD.
Waiuku has made another step forward in respect of the formation of the Town District. The Commission of Enquiry is to eit here on Friday, June sth, to hear evidence respecting the matter. MUTUALIMPROVEMENT SOCIETY.
The Waiuku Mutual Improvement Society opened the session on Monday, 18th May, with a concert which proved foighly successful. The attendance was very good, the Parish Hall being nicely tilled. Mr H. 0. Mellsop, as president, occupied the chair.
The items of Mies Hall, of Auckland, added greatly to the enjoyment of the evening.
The president gavd a short opening speech, in which ha welcomed the visitors and expressed the wish that they would continue their attendance and finally become members. The following programme was then rendered Pianoforte folo, Miss Swain; song, Miss Harris; song, Miss Ethel Rossiter; song, Mr Leach; reading, Mrs W. L. West; song, Miss Hall (encored); song, Mr Cable (encored;; reading, Mr Mellsop; song, MrsVaughan (encored); song, Mis 3H. Rossiter (encored); recitation, Miss Hall (encored); song, Mr C. J. West; pianoforte solo, Mr Leach; song, Miss Hall. The accompaniments were played by Misses Swain and Eckley and Mr Leach.
