There were sdme eighteen persunn present at the annual meeting of the Pukekoha Rugbv Union, held in the Pukekohe hotel on Fridav evening last. Mr K. Brown was in the chair.
the secretary (Mr Jones) read the annual report, showing that the receipts had been £59 19s 3d and the expenditure £b6 19a lid, leaving a credit balance of £2 199 4d. The chairman: Any football club showing a credit balance is doing very well indeed. Mr J. BeaUy: It is very rredi Labi a to bring out such a balance sheet. Tbe report was adopted. When it was proposed to proceed with the election ot officers the ques tion was asked whether this was a Union meeting. It so, delegates from Mauku ohould be here. There were three Pukekohe clubs last year and it was asked whether there would be three this season.
The secretary said he had written to Mercer, Bombay, Papakurn and Tuakau to see If they would join in forming r.ne Union. Mercer replied saying they would consider the matter, Bombay and Papakura said they would stick to their old Union and Tuakau had not replied. As to this meeting he held that last year's delegates would continue in ofL'cc until their succeesors were appointed by the different clubs. This again raised the question as to whether the three Pukekoha cluba existed. Mr Marshall said ho did not think the City couid get n club, and he thought Suburbs was worse. He thought City and Suburbs should form one team, Hill another and Mauku a third. Thid would mean new boundaries.
Finally, Mr J. Koulston was reelected Patron, Mr J. Pollock as President and the vice-presidents of last year were re elected. Mr Jones declined to again take tho secretaryship, but agreed to hold office until next meeting. Mr Beatty proposed that a com mittee be set up to meet the delegates and sec how many clubs would take part, also to draw up th 3 boundaries. This was carried, tho commitfoe being Messrs F. Graham, J. Bsatty, E. Pollock, S Marshall and J. WiUon.
