PIGEON SHOOTING.
Pukekohe v. Karangahako. Last week some eight representatives of the Pukekohe Gun Club paid a return visit to Karangahako to again try conclusions with the Gun Club there. The l'ukckohc shootists went down on Tuesday, ahot on Wednesday and Thursday, visited the mines on Friday and returned homo on Saturday. Although the honours were slightly in favour of Karangahako oa this occasion tho Pukekcha representatives were "knocking at their door" all the time. This is the fourth time that time two teams have met and they have now had one win each, with two "ties '• Four birds has been the uiggest difference between them, which i«t remarkably close shooting. The president of the homo team gave 10s to be shot lor between the secretaries and the local scribe (A. I'. Daysh) bad a handsome victory in a 10 bird match, winning by 7 t) 4. Besides the big event there were eight additional sweepstakes shot. McNally, J. Fauaett, Wilson and J. Reyr.olds divided tho first, McNally won the icconil, and J. Wright captured two lirsls and divided another. The £25 shoot wai won bv Sheppard (Karangahtikc) with 20 and 21 biros, the latter being from a second nomination. For second mono / Sheppard. McNeil. Dare and Wright (Pukekohe) divided with 2" birds each. Other Pukekohe kill? were: J. I!Ih!<« 1»J, F MouHey and J. Reynolds I? each, Daysh 17, Wilson 18, J. Fausett and McNally 14 each. Another remarkable result was witnessed in (he 10 bird sweepstakes when the teams tied with 64 each. Ihcv shoot oir when Pukekohe again got 64 and Knranga. hake won with 68. This district's ahootists report having had a most enjoyable time,
